commercetools, the leading provider of next-generation commerce, announced at Shoptalk 2018 that it has extended its partnership with global business transformation agency Valtech. This expanded strategic partnership will enable brands, retailers and manufacturers in North America to provide their customers enhanced, shopping-enabled experiences beyond traditional websites. Shoptalk attendees can engage with these experiences first hand at booth #3631 at the Venetian Convention Center exhibit hall March 18 – 20 and again at Adobe Summit March 27-29 in the Community Pavilion at the Venetian Hotel Convention Center (US, Las Vegas).
As consumers break free of the bounds of traditional websites and explore and engage with products in whatever way matches their lifestyle, brands and manufacturers are shedding their one-channel-fits-all approach to commerce. Utilizing the commercetools next-generation microservices-based commerce platform, plus Adobe Marketing Cloud, Valtech will help these brands and manufacturers create engaging experiences and make every moment shoppable. This model has proven to be successful in Europe where the partners have won deals with global consumer brands as well as B2B manufacturers. Most recently, they announced a deal with Eurail – the popular European rail service that needed to create engaging content across touchpoints while enabling fast, easy purchase of passenger tickets.
The commercetools platform, with its cloud-native, API-based architecture provides Valtech an agile, flexible solution for its clients that significantly reduces both cost and time to market. The microservices approach enables Valtech – a global innovation partner with Adobe – to build on- demand commerce functionality for specific client touchpoints, including social media, mobile apps, voice, in-car systems, IoT devices or any other channel. Now every touchpoint can be a point of customer engagement as well as a point of sale.
"Optimizing the customer experience is a primary business imperative, so we’re very pleased to be working with leaders such as commercetools and Adobe," said Olivier Padiou, Global COO, Valtech. "By aligning our collective strengths, brands, retailers and manufacturers can now deliver digital experiences that drive revenue and better meet customers’ evolving expectations."
Founded in Germany in 2006, commercetools’ innovative approach to digital commerce challenged the inflexible, monolithic strategies that were common among traditional platforms. With a vision to go beyond selling through traditional desktop-based websites, the company added mobile commerce support early and consequently expanded its functionality to include new ways to make customer interactions shoppable. Three years ago, commercetools successfully launched in the United States. The company was recently included in The Forrester WaveTM: B2C Commerce Suites, Q1 2017 for the first time as a contender, in which the analyst firm referred to commercetools as “a good fit for firms looking to innovate on commerce.”
“We recognize the dramatic change our customers are facing daily including digitally-native consumers and tech-enabled competitors. We are pleased to extend our partnership with Valtech in North America so that they have the best set of tools and technology to take our mutual customers beyond the traditional webstore,” said Arthur Lawida, President of commercetools.
