At home, at work, in cafes and restaurants, great tea and coffee are worth their weight in gold. Today, business customers expect more of a B2B web shop than simply the ability to order online. Knowing this, Jacobs Douwe Egberts Professional asked eFocus to co-create a new and integrated digital platform that would offer brand and product inspiration alongside an optimal shopping experience.
B2C influences in B2B
The new web shop was developed in Episerver Commerce (EPiCommerce), with the first release going live in seven sprints. The focus for the development team lays on running UX validation tests to find the best ways to engage users. Thanks to the influence of B2C web shops, more and more business users expect inspiration and an experience in B2B environments as well. For this reason, the new shop incorporates a unique brand experience in which content design is used to highlight product and brand presentation. This contributes to the creation of a positive brand experience among existing and potential customers.
The initial results are extremely positive. The next step is to continue developing the platform and extending it with new functionalities based on new customer insights.
